WBBPE Notice: Document Verification for Primary Teacher Appellants Following Supreme Court Directive

WBBPE Notice: The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has issued a significant notification concerning primary teacher candidates. This notice comes in compliance with the judgment passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on April 4, 2025, in Civil Appeal No. of 2025. The WBBPE has arranged a hearing for the verification of eligibility of the appellants involved in this case, specifically those who completed their D.El.Ed through NIOS.
Document Verification Schedule and Venue:
Eligible appellants are requested to attend the verification process at the office of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, located at Acharya Prafulla Chandra Bhavan, DK-7/1, Sector-II, Bidhannagar, Kolkata – 700091. The verification will be conducted from June 9, 2025, to June 18, 2025 (excluding holidays), according to a specific schedule detailed in the notification for each appellant.
Who is Invited for Verification?
This verification process is exclusively for the appellants who are parties to the aforementioned Supreme Court case.
Essential Documents for Verification (Originals and One Set of Self-Attested Photocopies):
Appellants must bring the following documents:
- Marksheets and Certificates for Madhyamik Pariksha (or equivalent) and Higher Secondary (or equivalent) Examination.
- Any valid document as proof of Date of Birth.
- TET Pass Certificate (issued on or before August 10, 2017).
- Papers proving “In-Service” status as of August 10, 2017, including:
- Appointment Letter / Accepted Joining Report.
- Certificate from the school authority specifying the appellant’s service as of August 10, 2017.
- NOC cum Certificate of Recognition in favour of the school as of August 10, 2017, by the School Education Dept. of the concerned State.
- Salary statements for the last six months leading up to July 2017 (detailing Pay Band, Basic Pay, DA, and other allowances).
- CPF Statement as prescribed under relevant PF Act/Rules of GoI.
- 18-Month D.El.Ed. Certificate / Marksheet obtained through NIOS (completed before April 1, 2019).
- Copy of Registration Slip for the Primary Teachers Recruitment Process 2022.
- Authenticated document confirming appellant status in the case.
- Residence Proof Certificate.
- Original Voter ID Card / AADHAAR Card.
- Bank statements for the six months leading up to July 2017, attested by the concerned Bank Manager.
- CPF/EPF statement from the school.
- IT Return (if applicable).
