RailOne App: Now, All Train Ticket Solutions in One App!

RailOne App: Good news for Indian Railways users! The railway has launched a new app called ‘RailOne’. Previously known as ‘Swarail’, this app is now available on the Play Store and iOS Store. The main objective of this app is to make the ticket booking experience simpler and more convenient for passengers, eliminating the need for multiple separate apps.

Key Features of the RailOne App:

  • All Ticket Types on a Single Platform: Through this app, users can book unreserved, platform, and reservation tickets—all from one place. This will eliminate the hassle of using separate apps like UTS and Rail Connect.
  • PNR and Train Status Tracking: Using the app, passengers can easily track their PNR status and the live status of their train.
  • Easy Login and Registration: Users can log in with their existing IRCTC or UTS app credentials. New users can also register through the app.
  • Reserved Ticket Booking: Tickets can be booked easily by selecting the date of journey, origin, and destination stations. Tickets can be booked for up to six passengers at a time (four in the case of Tatkal tickets).
  • Various Payment Options: There is a facility for payment via UPI, Rail Wallet, net banking, debit card, or credit card.
  • Aadhaar Linking Mandatory: From July 1st, linking Aadhaar with the IRCTC account has been made mandatory for booking tickets, especially for Tatkal tickets.
  • Unreserved and Platform Ticket Booking: Unreserved and platform tickets can also be booked very easily through this app. The process of selecting the station and number of passengers is very simple.
  • Cashback on Local Tickets: The video mentions that cashback (e.g., 30-40 paise) is also available when booking local train tickets.
  • ‘My Bookings’ Section: Here, users can see all their booked tickets (upcoming, completed, canceled, platform, reserved, unreserved).
  • Other Services: This section provides facilities like searching for trains, checking PNR, coach position, and train status.
  • R-Wallet: For faster payments, users can activate and add money to their R-Wallet. However, money added to the R-Wallet is not refundable to a bank account and can only be used for ticket bookings.
  • For Personal Use Only: This app is intended for personal use only, not for commercial ticket selling.
  • Master List: Users can create a master list of passengers, which is very useful, especially when booking Tatkal tickets, as it helps in adding information quickly.

Overall, the RailOne app comes with a very user-friendly interface and faster performance, which is expected to be much more effective than the Rail Connect app, especially for Tatkal bookings.
