TET Wrong Question Case: Calcutta High Court Forms New Expert Committee, Verdict in 3 Weeks!

TET Wrong Question Case: The Primary TET 2022 question error case is now nearing its conclusion. Calcutta High Court Justice Soumen Sen has set a specific deadline for the disposal of this case, which has brought a new ray of hope for the job aspirants. A new expert committee will be formed in this case and further steps will be taken based on their report. Let’s take a detailed look at the important aspects of this case.

Need for a new expert committee

The Primary Education Board had appealed to the court to seek the help of a third expert for the settlement of the questions on which there were differences of opinion. The petitioners’ lawyers initially opposed this, saying that there was no need to appoint new experts. But Justice Soumen Sen granted the board’s application and allowed the appointment of new experts and also set a specific deadline for it.

Who is on the expert committee?

The judge first included Jadavpur University and Calcutta University as expert bodies. These two universities were entrusted with the responsibility of ascertaining whether there was any real error in the questions of Mathematics Pedagogy and English Pedagogy.

Inclusion and modification of the Board

The Primary Education Board initially objected to the exclusion of its own experts. Although the judge initially rejected the objection, he later changed his order and included the experts of the Primary Education Board in the committee. The petitioners strongly opposed this, saying that there would be no impartial justice if the board’s experts were present. Due to this objection, the judge ordered the exclusion of Calcutta University and the inclusion of Presidency University.

Final expert panel and timeline

Finally, the expert panel that has been formed includes:

  • Jadavpur University
  • Presidency University
  • Primary Education Board

Justice Soumen Sen has directed that this committee must complete its meeting within 15 days and submit its final report within three weeks. It is being speculated from this short deadline that the settlement of the Primary TET 2022 question error case is going to happen very soon and the job aspirants will get to know its results soon. This verdict is expected to decide the fate of thousands of TET candidates in the state and end their long wait.
