Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess specific qualifications from an institution approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI):
- D.Ed. in Special Education from an RCI Approved Institute and a valid RCI CRR number.
- OR, D.El.Ed. degree along with a recognized qualification (Certificate/Diploma) from an RCI-approved institution equivalent to D.Ed. in Special Education, and a valid CRR number.
- Additionally, a six-month training of teaching in a cross-disability area in inclusive education is required. If this training program is not available, candidates must complete it compulsorily after recruitment as soon as it is conducted.
Language Proficiency
The candidate must have studied the specific language of the school’s medium of instruction as a first, second, or third language at the Secondary or Higher Secondary level.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 years (as of 01.01.2025).
- Maximum Age: 40 years (as of 01.01.2025).
- The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) and Physically Challenged candidates as per state government norms.
Selection Process & Marks
Passing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is mandatory for selection.
- For candidates who have not yet cleared TET, the Board will conduct a new TET exam, the date of which will be announced later.
- Those who have already passed TET can also apply. They will have the option to be evaluated based on their old TET certificate or appear for the new TET exam.
The selection process will be based on a total of 100 marks, with the distribution as follows:
