WBBSE Launches Online Portal for Madhyamik Registration Correction

Madhyamik Registration Correction: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has taken a significant step for Madhyamik candidates. A decision has been made to launch an online portal to correct errors in the registration of students appearing for the Madhyamik examination in 2026. This initiative will benefit both students and schools, making the registration process more transparent and error-free.

Why This New Portal?

The Madhyamik examination registration process begins in Class 9. Crucial information such as the student’s name, parents’ names, and date of birth is recorded at this time. In the past, there was no specific opportunity for correction once this information was submitted. As a result, many students had to appear for the exam with incorrect information on their registration certificates, which created problems in various fields later on.

For the 2025 Madhyamik examination, schools were given five opportunities to correct registration errors. However, this process was also quite time-consuming and complex. Therefore, a decision has been made to implement a well-organized system in advance for the 2026 candidates. Through this online portal, students can review their own information for errors and apply for corrections themselves.

Who Will Benefit?

This portal is primarily for those students who will be taking the Madhyamik examination in 2026. If there were any errors in their information during the Class 9 registration, they will have the opportunity to correct it through this portal.

How to Make Corrections?

The correction process can be completed in a few simple steps:

  • Portal Access: Students must first visit the website students.wbbsedata.com.
  • Submit Application: After logging in with the required information on the portal, students need to check their registration details. If there are any mistakes, they must apply for correction.
  • School’s Role: The student’s application will be sent directly to the dashboard of their respective school.
  • Verification and Submission: The school authorities will collect the necessary proof and submit the application to the board along with a specific fee.

Some Important Information

  • Portal Availability Dates: This online portal will be open from September 18, 2025, to September 25, 2025.
  • Objective: The main goal of this initiative is to make the registration process easier, faster, and more accurate, so that no student has to appear for the exam with incorrect information.

This new portal is undoubtedly a commendable initiative by the Board of Secondary Education. As a result, Madhyamik candidates will be able to concentrate on their studies with more peace of mind and will receive an accurate registration certificate, which is extremely important for their future.
