Higher Secondary Form Fill-up Dates Announced! Semester and Old System Students, Know the Details Now

HS Form Fill-up: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released a crucial notification for students appearing in the Higher Secondary (HS) examination in 2026. The official notification (No.: L/PR/601/2025), signed by the President of the Council, Prof. (Dr.) Chiranjib Bhattacharya, announces the dates for the enrollment form fill-up process for the academic session 2025-2026. This guideline is applicable for students under both the new semester system and the old system.

Form Fill-up Timeline

According to the notification, the form fill-up process for the HS Examination 2026 will commence on December 2, 2025. The window for this process will remain open until December 24, 2025. School authorities and students are advised to complete all formalities within this specific timeframe, as the duration is limited.

Who is Eligible for this Form Fill-up?

The council has clarified that this enrollment process is primarily for the following categories of candidates:

• Semester-IV: Students who are currently studying in Class 12 under the new semester system.
• Semester-III Supplementary: Candidates who were unsuccessful in the third semester and wish to appear for the supplementary examination.
• Old System: Candidates who will be appearing for the HS Examination 2026 as Regular, Continuing (CC), or Special candidates under the old syllabus.

How to Complete the Application Process?

The entire form fill-up procedure will be conducted online. However, students will not be able to log in to the portal directly. This task must be completed by the respective school authorities.

1. The heads of the concerned schools or educational institutions must visit the official council portal: https://wbchseapp.wb.gov.in/portal/sec_users/login.
2. They need to log in using the school’s specific ‘User ID’ and ‘Password’.
3. After logging in, they must verify the students’ data, submit the forms, and pay the required examination fees online.

Important Advice for Students

Although the school authorities are responsible for the form fill-up, students should also be vigilant about a few things.

• Data Verification: Before the final submission, students must cross-check their details like name, father’s name, registration number, and subject combination with the school to ensure accuracy.
• Contact Your School: It is advisable to get in touch with your school well before December 2nd to know the exact date and procedure for signing documents or depositing fees.
• Fee Payment: Submit the examination fees as instructed by the school authorities within the stipulated time.
