Lakshmir Bhandar Status: Lakshmir Bhandar Payment Started for New Applicants Check Status Now
Lakshmir Bhandar Status: For the new applicants of the ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ scheme in 2025, the wait is finally over. This flagship social welfare scheme of West Bengal has started disbursing funds to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries. According to reports, all three critical stages of verification, including the final validation of names and bank account details, have been successfully completed following the state budget session.
Current Payment Status and Validation
Significant changes have been observed in the online status of many new applicants. Previously, the status might have shown ‘Lot Generation,’ but it has now been updated to “Ready for Payment Validation Successful.” Technically, this indicates that the beneficiary’s data is error-free and ready for the treasury to release the funds.
- Disbursement Locations: Reports suggest that money has started crediting into accounts in various regions, specifically in districts like Bardhaman.
- Benefit Amount: Women belonging to the General and OBC categories are receiving ₹1,500 per month, while those from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are receiving ₹1,700 per month.
Troubleshooting Online Status Errors
While checking the status online, some applicants are facing ‘Error’ messages. These issues usually stem from three primary reasons:
- Documentation Mismatch: Discrepancies between the data provided in the application (like Aadhaar or Swasthya Sathi) and the bank records.
- Name/Surname Change: If a woman applied using her marital surname but her bank account still carries her maiden name, the validation may fail.
- Inactive Accounts: If the bank account provided has been dormant due to a lack of transactions for a long period, the credit will be rejected.
Solution: If you encounter such errors, it is advised to visit your local Block Development Office (BDO) immediately to rectify the data discrepancies.
What to Do If You Haven’t Received Money Yet?
If your status shows ‘Validation Successful’ but you haven’t received an SMS alert in the last 24-48 hours, there is no need to panic. Often, SMS alerts fail due to server issues. Beneficiaries are advised to visit their bank and update their passbooks to confirm the credit. Even if the amount is not credited in February, eligible applicants with valid status are almost certain to receive the funds, possibly with arrears, along with the regular beneficiaries in March.
