Yuvashathi Online Form: Application Process Eligibility and Benefits Explained
Yuvashathi Online Form: The Department of Sports and Youth Services, Government of West Bengal, has introduced a significant initiative aimed at supporting the unemployed youth of the state. Under the ‘Bangla Yuvashathi’ scheme, eligible candidates will receive financial assistance to help them during their period of unemployment. As per the 2026 notification, understanding the specific eligibility criteria and the offline application mode is crucial for interested applicants.
Financial Benefits of the Scheme
The primary goal of the Bangla Yuvashathi scheme is to provide temporary financial relief to unemployed individuals. Selected candidates will receive a monthly allowance of ₹1,500. This amount will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked bank account.
It is important to note that this benefit is not permanent. The allowance will be provided until the applicant secures employment or for a maximum period of 5 years, whichever happens earlier.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
According to the official notification, eligibility will be determined based on the applicant’s status as of April 1, 2026. The mandatory conditions are:
- Age Limit: The applicant must be between 21 and 40 years of age.
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed Madhyamik (10th standard) or an equivalent examination.
- Residency & Status: The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and currently unemployed.
- Exclusions: Individuals already benefiting from other social security schemes or receiving any state government allowance are not eligible. However, students receiving scholarships are exempt from this restriction.
Application Process and Important Dates
Currently, there is no online application facility for this scheme. The entire process is being conducted offline through designated camps.
- Form Availability: The application form can be downloaded from the official website of the Sports and Youth Services Department (https://sportsandyouth.wb.gov.in/wbyouthservices) under the ‘News and Events’ section. Alternatively, hard copies can be collected directly from the camp offices.
- Application Dates: From February 15 to February 26, 2026.
- Timing: Forms will be accepted from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Venue: Assembly-wise camp offices set up across the state.
- Note: The camps will remain closed on Sunday, February 22.
Documents Required
Applicants must attach self-attested photocopies of the following documents with the filled-out application form:
- Madhyamik Admit Card (as proof of age).
- Madhyamik Marksheet or Certificate.
- Aadhaar Card and Voter ID Card.
- First page of Bank Passbook or a Cancelled Cheque.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Passport-sized photograph (to be pasted on the form with a signature across it).
As of now, the department has not enabled any online portal for form submission. Applicants are advised to visit their respective assembly-level camps within the deadline to submit their documents physically. Any future updates regarding online facilities will be notified by the government in due course.
