WBBPE Primary Teacher Interview Schedule Released: Check District Wise Dates
WBBPE Interview Schedule: A major update has arrived for candidates waiting for primary teacher jobs in West Bengal. The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has released the schedule for the next phases of interviews and aptitude tests under the 2025 recruitment process. This notification details the call up of candidates from various districts in phases, ranging from the fifth to the tenth phase. The entire process is set to run from March to May 2026.
Where and How Will the Exams Take Place?
According to the new notification issued by the board, all phases of the interview will be conducted at “Acharya Prafulla Chandra Bhawan”, located in Sector II, Salt Lake, Kolkata. Eligible candidates must download their interview call letters from the board’s official website via the ‘Primary Teacher Recruitment 2025’ portal before appearing for the viva voce.
District Wise Interview Schedule
The notification provides a specific timeline indicating when candidates from which districts will be called. The detailed schedule is as follows:
- Nadia District (Fifth Phase): March 10 to 13, and March 18 and 19, 2026.
- Purulia District (Sixth Phase): March 23 to 25, and March 27 and 30, 2026.
- Bankura District (Seventh Phase): April 6 to 10, April 16 and 17, and April 21 to 24, 2026.
- Alipurduar & Dakshin Dinajpur (Eighth Phase): April 27 to 30, 2026.
- Malda & Paschim Bardhaman (Ninth Phase): May 5 to 8, and May 12 to 15, 2026.
- Birbhum District (Tenth Phase): May 19 to 22, and May 28 and 29, 2026.
Required Documents: What to Carry?
On the day of the interview, candidates are strictly required to bring all original documents along with a set of self attested photocopies. The crucial documents include:
- The downloaded interview call letter and TET qualification certificate.
- Madhyamik admit card or certificate as solid proof of age.
- Mark sheets and certificates of Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, and Graduation level (if applicable) as proof of educational qualification.
- Proof of teacher training, such as mark sheets and certificates of D.El.Ed, Special D.Ed, or B.El.Ed.
- A valid photo ID card like a Voter ID or Aadhar card, along with one passport size colour photograph.
- Where applicable, caste certificates (SC/ST/OBC), EWS certificates, physical handicap certificates, ex-servicemen documents, and engagement or experience certificates for para teachers. Candidates with extra curricular achievements should also bring relevant certificates.
Important Caution
The board has made it very clear that if a candidate is found ineligible during document verification or for any other reason, they will not be permitted to participate in the interview or aptitude test. Furthermore, the Selection Committee reserves the right to make slight modifications to the published schedule due to unavoidable circumstances. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official portal for regular updates.
