Yuva Sathi Status: Yuva Sathi Scheme Funds Released Early How to Check Application Status Online

Yuva Sathi Status: The wait is over for the unemployed youth of the state. Although the financial assistance under the ‘Yuva Sathi’ scheme was previously announced to be disbursed from the first day of next month, following the directives of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the funds are being credited directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts starting today, March 7. However, it is natural to be confused about whether your submitted application has been accepted into the government records. Let us understand the current scenario of this scheme and the simple process to verify your details.

Scheme Background and Financial Allocation

To make the unemployed youth self-reliant, Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya announced this mega project during the recent state budget. Job seekers aged between 21 and 40 years will receive Rs 1,500 per month in their bank accounts until they secure a stable job. The government has set aside a dedicated fund of approximately Rs 5,000 crore to implement this massive initiative.

Massive Surge in Applications

According to government data, around 84 lakh young men and women across the state have already applied for this unemployment allowance. Out of this, a vast majority, about 65 lakh forms, were submitted offline at various block-level camps. Additionally, another 19 lakh job seekers have directly registered their names through the official online portal.

Step-by-Step Guide to Check Status Online

You can easily check the current status of your application using your mobile phone or computer. To do so, follow the steps below:

  • First, visit the official government portal (apas.wb.gov.in).
  • Select the Check Status option available on the homepage of the website.
  • Next, enter the mobile number you used while filling out the form, input the correct captcha code shown on the screen, and click on the Get OTP button.
  • Enter the OTP received on your phone into the designated box and click the Verify Pin option.
  • If your details have been uploaded to the server, your registration number will immediately appear on the screen. You can also view your submitted form by clicking the Application Form link.

A Warning for Offline Applicants

Many individuals who submitted paper forms at Duare Sarkar or block camps are facing confusion while trying to check their status online. In several cases, after providing the OTP, they are being prompted to fill out a fresh form. While it is technically possible to reapply online at this moment, doing so poses a risk for the future. Once officials upload the offline forms to the server, your application might be flagged as a duplicate entry due to your Aadhaar card number. This could lead to the rejection of either the new or the old application.

Wait a Little Longer for Final Approval

Currently, the portal only displays the registration numbers of the applicants. This means you can only confirm whether your form has entered the system’s database. The final status regarding whether the application has been officially approved or rejected has not yet been published on the portal. Beneficiaries will need to wait a few more days for this specific information.
