WB Assembly Election: The long wait in the political arena of West Bengal is finally coming to an end. The final dates for the upcoming Assembly Elections will be officially revealed today. Major Announcement in Delhi and MCC Implementation
A highly significant press conference is scheduled to be held today at 4 PM at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. Chief Election Commissioner Mr. Gyanesh Kumar, along with his colleagues, will officially release the complete schedule for the upcoming assembly elections in five states, including West Bengal. From the exact moment this announcement is made, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) will immediately come into effect across the state. This strict enforcement means the ruling state government will be entirely restricted from announcing any new public welfare schemes or making major policy decisions.
Drastic Changes Expected in Voting Phases
In the past few major elections, the state has witnessed prolonged voting processes spread across seven or eight phases. Preparations for Polling Personnel and State Employees
As soon as the election dates are announced, the responsibilities of the government personnel appointed to conduct the polls increase manifold. The essential training programs and other associated official duties for the polling workers will commence very soon. The Election Commission has assured that all relevant updates regarding training will be regularly communicated to the staff on duty. Alongside this heavy preparation, there is a strong and positive expectation regarding the formation of the new Pay Commission committee in the state.
