To ensure a smooth voting process in this massive democratic exercise, the role of teachers and government employees is extremely crucial. The Election Commission has initiated the process of issuing election training letters or appointment letters for these personnel. For those assigned election duties, knowing these guidelines and portal updates is highly essential.

Training Process Details and Schedule

The Election Commission has determined the probable dates for the special training required to properly execute polling duties. According to initial information, this training may take place on March 28 and March 29, 2024. However, slight modifications to these dates depending on the location or block remain a possibility. Generally, these training camps will run for a long duration, starting from 11:00 AM and continuing until 5:30 PM.

How to Obtain the Appointment Letter?

Personnel appointed as polling workers will not receive these letters directly using their personal IDs. The ‘Election Management & Monitoring System’ (EMMS) portal must be used for this entire process.

• Login Method: Instead of personal accounts, the institutional ID of the respective school or government office must be used to log into the portal.
• Collecting Letters: After logging in, a complete list of all appointed staff, ranging from Presiding Officers to First, Second, and Third Polling Officers, will be visible.
• Downloading: From this specific portal, the training letters of all assigned employees can be easily downloaded together.
