2002 Voter List: CEO West Bengal’s New Website Finally Launched! See How to Get the 2002 Voter List in One Click

2002 Voter List: The old website of the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) office in West Bengal has been discontinued, and a new website has been launched in its place. The recent deactivation of the old site had caused significant frustration among the public, especially those trying to access the 2002 voter list. To address this issue, the CEO’s office has introduced this new website, making it easier to access crucial old records.

The announcement for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was made in the state on Monday, October 27. Coincidentally, the very next day, Tuesday, the old website of the state CEO’s office became inactive. Many people needed to access the 2002 voter list, which is nearly 23 years old, for various reasons. However, with the website being out of service, it became impossible to find the list, leading to widespread public discontent.

The New Website and Solution

To resolve this inconvenience and restore services, the CEO’s office has taken swift action. A modern and user-friendly new website has been launched. The address for the new website is https://ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in/. According to sources in the department, the complete 2002 voter list can now be easily accessed through this new portal. Furthermore, all activities related to the revision of electoral rolls will now be conducted through this new website.

  • Step 1: First, you need to visit the new CEO office website at https://ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in/. Once the site opens on your mobile or computer, you will see a list of all districts in West Bengal on the homepage.
  • Step 2: Click on the name of the district where you or your parents were registered as voters 23 years ago.
  • Step 3: After clicking on the district name, a list of all assembly constituencies within that district will appear on the screen. You need to click on the name of your respective assembly area.
  • Step 4: Next, a list of all polling stations under that assembly constituency will open. From here, you need to find your specific polling station.
  • Step 5: Scroll down and click on the name of your polling station, and you will be able to view the 2002 voter list directly.

However, there is one thing to keep in mind. Often, a large polling station (like a school building) may have multiple booths. In such cases, if you remember the booth or part number from 23 years ago, you can find the correct list at once. If you don’t remember it, you may have to check all the lists for the booths under that particular polling station.
