2016 SSC Sacked teachers approach Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya, What assurance did they get?

2016 SSC: Candidates who lost their jobs in the 2016 SSC (School Service Commission) corruption case met with lawyer Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya. After the Calcutta High Court’s order to cancel their jobs, the Supreme Court’s verdict also did not bring them any relief. In this situation, they approached the veteran lawyer to discuss their future steps.

Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya informed them that since the Supreme Court has given the final verdict, there is no alternative way to get their old jobs back. He said, “They have come to me late. If they had come earlier, perhaps a solution could have been found.”

The lawyer further stated that the only way forward for the jobless candidates now is to participate in the new recruitment process. He advised them to continue fighting to ensure that the new recruitment process is transparent and corruption-free. In his opinion, those who say the government will help them are actually misleading the job seekers.

Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya believes that the job losers have understood that there is no real hope for a solution in a review petition. He also noted that the job aspirants feel that they have lost their jobs because of the state government and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Overall, he made it clear that the possibility of getting their old jobs back is very slim.
