Exemptions in Some Cases
Although the fees for most Aadhaar updates have been increased, there are exemptions in some cases:
- For Children: Aadhaar card enrollment for newborns and the update of their biometric information will be done completely free of charge.
- For Adolescents: The biometric update fee for children and adolescents aged 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years has been waived. Previously, this service cost ₹50.
