The Janmashtami holiday, which was initially scheduled for August 15, 2025, has been changed to August 16, 2025. This decision has been made to correct a previous error in the holiday list.

The Birbhum DPSC has now clarified the matter. According to various almanacs, the holy festival of Janmashtami in 2025 falls on Saturday, August 16. The DPSC has made this correction to align with the correct date of the festival.

Several other DPSCs and even the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education had also marked August 15 as the Janmashtami holiday.
