Dearness Allowance

DA Case: Strong possibility of a full hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday, the date will not change

DA Case Hearing: After a long wait, the hearing date for the Dearness Allowance (DA) case has finally been set in the Supreme Court. The hearing is scheduled for next Monday, September 1, 2025, bringing new hope for millions of state government employees. Although the hearing has been postponed several times in the past for various reasons, the situation is different this time, and the possibility of the hearing taking place is very high.

All employees, teachers, and pensioners of the state are looking forward to this case. They hope that with the intervention of the highest court, their long-pending demand for DA will be fulfilled and they will benefit financially. This hearing is not only related to the financial aspects of the employees but will also affect their morale and trust in the government. Therefore, the date of September 1 has become a decisive day for them.

Why is the possibility of a hearing strong this time?

The circumstances of this hearing are quite different from the past. Several factors are strengthening the possibility of the hearing taking place, which has raised new hopes in the minds of government employees. In the past, state government lawyers, especially personalities like Kapil Sibal, have tried to postpone the hearing date for various reasons. But this time, it is believed that such tactics are less likely to succeed.

The main reasons behind this are:

  • Judges’ Bench: The case will be heard by a bench of Honorable Justice Sanjay Kumar and Honorable Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra. It is also known that a bench of the Chief Justice and five judges will also be present, which has further increased the importance of the case.
  • Absence of Other Cases: In the past, it has been seen that the hearing of the DA case has been postponed due to other important cases of the constitutional bench. But on the upcoming September 1, no such constitutional bench case is listed in the Supreme Court, which could keep the Chief Justice and other judges busy.
  • Different Date for SIR Case: Another major case that could keep the state government’s lawyers busy is the SIR case. But the hearing of that case is not on September 1, but on September 8, 2025. As a result, it will be difficult for the state government’s lawyers to avoid the DA case hearing.

Employees’ Hopes and the Possibility of a Verdict

Due to all these positive aspects, it is believed that there will be no further obstacles to the DA case hearing on September 1. The state government’s lawyers will be present, and the court may reach a decision after hearing the arguments of both sides. Although whether the verdict will be delivered immediately or reserved is entirely dependent on the court, it is almost certain that the hearing will take place.

Millions of government employees are now looking forward to that day. They hope that the Supreme Court will rule in their favor and this long legal battle will come to an end. We will bring you all the updates on this case in the coming days.
