HS Exam OMR Sheet: New Directives for the Upcoming Semester Exams by WBCHSE

HS Exam OMR Sheet: There are many questions among students regarding the upcoming third-semester examinations, especially concerning the OMR sheet-based tests to be held in other school. In this post, we will discuss all the important guidelines for the examination, so that students can prepare well for it.

Seating Arrangement

In the examination hall, two students will be seated per bench in an ‘S’ pattern. This arrangement will help prevent cheating and ensure a fair examination environment. If students have any difficulty finding their assigned seats, they can seek assistance from the invigilator.

Question Paper Format

There will be different series or sets of question papers. Although the questions will be the same in all sets, the order of the questions will vary. For example, a question that is number one in one set might be number five or ten in another. This will reduce the opportunity for students to copy from one another.

Special Instructions for Science Subjects

There is no mention of providing any separate rough sheets or answer scripts for science subjects. If no extra pages are provided, students will need to solve the problems within the question booklet itself. This is similar to the rules in many all-India level examinations. Students should use the blank spaces in the question paper for necessary calculations or rough work.

Use of Calculators

  • Theory Papers: The use of calculators is strictly prohibited in all theory papers.
  • Practical Exams: Normal calculators (with trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions) are permitted for practical examinations.

Examination Duration

  • Main Subjects: 1 hour and 15 minutes (from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM).
  • Vocational Subjects: 45 minutes.

OMR Sheet Filling and Time Management

A total of five pieces of information must be filled in on the OMR sheet: Registration Number, Roll Number, Question Booklet Serial Number, Subject, and Signature. No extra time will be given for filling out the OMR sheet. Therefore, filling the OMR sheet and signing the attendance sheet must be completed within the total time allotted for the exam (1 hour 15 minutes for main subjects and 45 minutes for vocational subjects). Students will receive the OMR sheet and the question booklet as soon as the exam begins at 10:00 AM. Great care must be taken while filling the OMR sheet as any mistake could lead to the cancellation of the evaluation.

Instructions for Filling the OMR

  • Only blue or black dot pens should be used to fill the OMR sheet.
  • The OMR sheets will be checked by a machine, so failure to follow the instructions may lead to the cancellation of the evaluation.
  • The process of filling the OMR will be similar to the first semester, but if there is any doubt, students can clarify it with the invigilator.

This information is based on the current situation. Any future changes will be communicated. Students should read these guidelines carefully and prepare well for the examination.
