Lakshmir Bhandar Payment: The month of February has brought a double dose of happiness for the women of West Bengal regarding the state government’s flagship welfare scheme, ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’. The process of crediting money to the bank accounts of millions of beneficiaries has already commenced. Not only existing beneficiaries, but new applicants are also receiving significant updates regarding their applications.

Good News for New Applicants regarding Approval

For those who submitted fresh applications for the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme through the recent Duare Sarkar camps or BDO offices, the wait is finally over. The final approval process from the District Level has officially started for these pending applications.

• Status Update: Since February 6th, many new applicants have reported that their application status is now showing as ‘Approved’ by the District Officer.
• Payment Information: Some new beneficiaries might see messages like “Payment yet to start” or “No payment record found” in the payment status column. There is no need to worry as this is a temporary standard procedure. The current month’s name and payment details will be updated on the portal very soon.
• Expected Payment Dates: According to administrative sources, new beneficiaries are set to receive their first installment within this month itself. The probable window for the first credit (₹1500 or ₹1700) is expected to be between the 10th and 15th of February.

Enhanced Amount for Existing Beneficiaries

As per the state government’s earlier announcement, money has started flowing into the bank accounts of old beneficiaries at the enhanced rates. Starting from February 6th and 7th, countless women across the state have received SMS notifications from their banks confirming the credit.

• Women from the General category, who previously received ₹1000, are now receiving ₹1500.
• Women belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), who used to get ₹1200, are now receiving ₹1700.

It is important to regularly check the official portal to know if your application is approved or when the money will be credited.

1. Visit the official Lakshmir Bhandar website and search using your registered mobile number.
2. If the status shows that the application is approved at the district level, your process is on track.
3. If the payment status displays ‘Payment Under Process’, it indicates that the money will be credited to your bank account very shortly.

Beneficiaries who haven’t received the SMS yet are advised to wait patiently, as the disbursement process is being conducted in phases for everyone.
