LPG Price Cut: LPG cylinder prices have come down a lot, a big relief for customers!

LPG Price Cut: As the new month begins, the oil companies brought good news for the people of the country. From July 1, 2025, a huge drop has been made in the price of commercial LPG cylinders, which will directly benefit businesses like hotels and restaurants. However, there has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders used by the common people. This new decision is expected to reduce the financial burden on commercial gas users in various cities.

What is the new price of a commercial cylinder?

Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by up to Rs 58.50. This change has significantly reduced the prices in the major cities of the country.

  • Delhi: The price of a commercial cylinder in Delhi has come down from Rs 1,723.50 to Rs 1,665.
  • Mumbai: In Mumbai, the price has come down from Rs 1,674.50 to Rs 1,616.
  • Kolkata: In Kolkata, the price has come down from Rs 1851.50 to Rs 1826.00.

This is the fourth consecutive fall in the price of commercial cylinders this year. Earlier, prices were also cut in April, May and June, which is a positive aspect for commercial establishments. This consistent price reduction will help reduce the operating costs of hotels, restaurants and other food supplying businesses. As a result, the price of food for customers may also decrease slightly in the coming days.

Domestic cylinder prices unchanged

Even though the price of commercial cylinders has come down, there is no good news for the common people. The price of 14.2 kg domestic cooking gas cylinders has not been changed. A common consumer in Kolkata will have to buy a domestic cylinder for Rs 882 as before. As the price of domestic cylinders remains unchanged, the monthly budget of middle and lower-middle class families will not be affected.

Subsidy for beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana continues

The government has maintained relief for the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Customers under this scheme will continue to receive a subsidy of Rs 300 per 14.2 kg cylinder. As a result, customers of the Ujjwala scheme in Delhi will have to pay only Rs 553 for a cylinder. This move by the government continues to help millions of poor families in the country to get essential fuel like cooking gas. It ensures that poor families are not deprived of clean fuel despite the financial burden.
