Madhyamik 2026: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has issued an extremely important notification regarding the Madhyamik Pariksha (SE), 2026. In this notification, the Board has announced that the enrolment process for the 2026 examinees will be conducted entirely online. This is a major step by the Board, which is expected to make the entire process more transparent and faster.

According to this notification, published on November 10, 2025, all Heads of X Class High Schools have been strictly instructed to follow this new online procedure. As per the Board’s notification, this online enrolment process must be completed within a specific timeframe.

• Start Date: The process will begin on December 2, 2025, from 11 AM.
• End Date: This process will continue until December 19, 2025, 12 Midnight.

All schools must complete this process through the website www.wbbsedata.com. Schools have been advised to follow these instructions very carefully to ensure accurate and timely enrolment of candidates.

Special Provisions for CWSN Candidates

One of the most significant aspects of this notification is the special online provision for Children with Special Needs (CWSN). The Board has announced that the Application and Certificate process for CWSN candidates will also be introduced on the aforementioned website.

Responsibilities and Warnings for Schools

Although this process is entirely online and will be completed by the schools, students and guardians also need to be aware.

What should students do? This process will be handled by the school authorities, so students do not have to do anything directly. However, they must ensure that all their information (such as name, father’s name, date of birth, etc.) is correct in the school’s records. It would be wise to contact the school and verify their details even before the timeline begins.

The Board’s Warning: The Board has shown a very strict stance on this matter. The notification clearly states that if any student or the Board faces hardship due to laxity or non-compliance in the enrolment process by any stakeholder, the Board will take suitable action as per relevant provisions of the Act/Rules.
