SIR: Online Enumeration Form Fill Up, Complete it From Home, Know the Step-by-Step Process

Online Enumeration Form: Here is some important news for the voters of West Bengal. The process for filling up the Online Enumeration Form has commenced. This service has been available on the voters.eci.gov.in website since November 8, 2025. There are primarily three scenarios you might face during this process, and in this article, we will discuss each one in detail to help you fill out your form with ease.

This entire process is based on three main cases:

1. Your own name is registered in the 2002 voter list.
2. Your name is not on the list, but a close relative’s name (father, mother, grandfather, or grandmother) is present.
3. Neither your name nor any of your close relatives’ names are on the 2002 list.

Preparations Before You Start

Before beginning the form fill-up process, make sure to save a recent stamp-sized colour photograph on your computer. The image size should be a maximum of 2 MB and in JPG or PNG format.

Login and Registration Process

To fill the form, you first need to log in to the official ECI portal.

• First, visit the voters.eci.gov.in website.
• Click on the “Fill Enumeration Form” option on the top right corner of the homepage.
• If you don’t have an account, click on the “Sign Up” option and register using your mobile number, email ID (optional), and the captcha.
• Enter the OTP received on your mobile and complete the registration by providing your EPIC number and assembly constituency details.
• Once registered, log in using your mobile number and OTP. This portal does not require a password.

What to Do If Your Mobile Number is Not Linked?

If your mobile number is not linked with your EPIC card, you will be prompted to fill out Form 8. There’s no need to worry, as this process takes only 2-3 minutes.

• Click on the “Click Here” option and choose “Apply for correction.”
• Simply enter your mobile number in the designated field and submit.
• Next, you will need to provide an e-Signature via your Aadhaar number. Verify with the Aadhaar OTP, and your mobile number will be linked instantly.

The Main Enumeration Form Fill-up Process

After logging in, click on the “Fill Enumeration Form” option and select “West Bengal” as your state. Then, search with your EPIC number, and your voter details will appear on the screen.

An Important Note: If there is any mismatch between the spelling of your name on your Voter Card and your Aadhaar card, it is advisable not to apply online. Instead, contact your local BLO (Booth Level Officer) and submit the form offline. You can find your BLO’s name and mobile number on the portal itself.

Next, you will be presented with three options.

Case 1: Your name is in the 2002 voter list

1. Choose the first option.
2. Search using your 2002 assembly constituency, polling station, and serial number.
3. If your details are correct, click the checkbox and proceed.
4. Now, fill in your details, such as date of birth, Aadhaar number, father’s/mother’s/spouse’s name, and upload your photograph.
5. Finally, enter your address (Place) and click “Submit.”

Case 2: Your name is not on the list, but a relative’s name is

1. Select the second option.
2. Search using the 2002 voter details of your father/mother/grandfather/grandmother and select the correct relationship.
3. If their details are correct, check the box and continue.
4. Then, just like in Case 1, fill in all your details (date of birth, father’s name, photo, etc.) and submit the form.

Case 3: Neither your name nor any relative’s name is in the 2002 list

1. Select the third option.
2. In this scenario, you do not need to provide any details from 2002.
3. You only need to fill in all your personal details and upload your photograph.
4. This method does not have an option to upload any documents. For information regarding required documents, you will need to contact your BLO.
5. After filling in all the information, click the “Submit” button.
