Primary TET 2023 Result: Ending the long wait, the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) today, on September 24, 2025, published the result of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2023. The result for the examination, which was held on December 24, 2023, is available on the board’s official website from 6:00 PM onwards today. This result opens the door to state primary school job opportunities for thousands of aspirants.
How to Check the Result
According to the board’s notification, candidates can easily check their results. They are requested to follow the steps below to view their results:
- First, visit the board’s official website: https://wbbpe.wb.gov.in.
- Click on the link: “TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST-2023 (TET-2023) (FOR CLASSES I TO V, PRIMARY)”.
- Next, click on the “RESULT OF TET-2023 (CLASSES I TO V, PRIMARY)” option.
- Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (as mentioned in your application) and submit.
- Your TET 2023 result will be displayed on the screen, from where you can take a printout.
Additionally, the board has informed that an image of each candidate’s OMR Sheet will be available on the same website from 2:00 PM tomorrow.

- Total Appeared in Examination: 273,147

List of Toppers
Many candidates have achieved outstanding results in this examination. A total of 64 candidates are ranked in the top ten positions. Ina Singha from Purba Bardhaman secured the first rank with a score of 125. Kajal Kuti from Murshidabad is in second place with a score of 116. Soumik Mondal from Bankura and Swarnendu Bhar from North 24 Parganas have jointly secured the third rank, both scoring 115.
Next Step: The Major Recruitment Drive
The publication of the TET 2023 results paves the way for the upcoming primary teacher recruitment process in the state. Notably, the state government, with approval from the Finance Department, has already announced the recruitment for 13,421 vacancies. These newly qualified candidates, along with those who qualified previously, will be eligible to apply for this large number of posts. This recruitment process is expected to further strengthen the state’s education system.
