SSC SLST Notice: WBSSC SLST Recruitment New Interview Schedule and Cut Off Marks Published
SSC SLST Notice: The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released a significant update regarding the recruitment process for Assistant Teachers at the Class 11-12 level. A new notification and candidate list regarding the SSC SLST (11-12) recruitment have been uploaded on the official website of the Commission. This notification has been issued in compliance with the recent directive of the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court.
Context of Notification and Eligibility Criteria
This notice has been published in accordance with the order of the Calcutta High Court (MAT Number 215/2025, dated 16.01.2025). According to the Commission, this phase specifically addresses candidates who had sought legal recourse. Candidates have been selected based on the following criteria:
- Candidates who filed writ petitions by 2:30 PM on December 26, 2025.
- Candidates who were given the opportunity to update their category (SC, ST, PH, etc.) by 8:30 PM on January 17, 2025.
- Candidates who successfully uploaded their documents and were called for Document Verification on January 30, 2025.
Following the document verification process, only those candidates who secured the requisite cut-off marks and were found ‘Eligible’ have been called for the next stage, which includes the Interview and Lecture Demonstration.
Schedule for Interview and Lecture Demonstration
According to the notification, eligible candidates are directed to appear for the Interview and Lecture Demonstration on January 08, 2026.
- Venue: West Bengal Central School Service Commission (Second Office), DK 7/2, Salt Lake Sector 2, Kolkata – 700091 (Near Anandalok Hospital).
- Intimation Letter: Candidates can download their Intimation Letters from the Commission’s official website starting from January 05, 2026.
Subject-wise Schedule
To ensure a smooth process, the Commission has divided the interview schedule into two halves. Interviews for all subjects will be conducted on the same day, i.e., January 08, 2026.

Candidate List and Cut-Off Marks Information
A total of 48 candidates have been called for the interview in the published list. Previously, around 200-250 candidates were called for document verification, but many were excluded from the list as they failed to clear the specific cut-off marks.
Examples of Cut-Off Marks:
- History: 70 (Written 60 + Academic 10)
- Geography (SC): 65
- Education (SC): 58
- Political Science (SC): 59
- Sociology (SC – Female): 62
- Computer Application: 36
The list primarily includes candidates from SC, ST, and PH categories, many of whom were previously in the General category but later updated their category status. The final recruitment of these 48 candidates will depend on their performance in the Interview and Lecture Demonstration.
