SSC Teacher Protest: New Complications Regarding Location Change, Warning from Protesting Sacked Teachers

SSC Teacher Protest: The protest by sacked SSC teachers has now continued for 19 long days. Currently, pressure is being exerted to relocate their movement, and preparations are reportedly underway at Central Park for this purpose.

A representative of the protesting teachers stated that following the High Court’s directive, the administration had proposed three potential locations. After discussions with the police, they had agreed upon one specific place. However, surprisingly, the authorities are now making preparations at a site that was not the one they had consented to.

In this situation, the teachers will make a decision regarding relocation only after assessing the infrastructure of the new proposed site. This evaluation is crucial considering their long-standing movement and future plans.

It has been learned that the government has given a deadline until tomorrow, the 26th, and the protestors are awaiting any communication. Two days ago, they sent a letter via email for discussion and to state their demands. Having received no response, a follow-up email was sent, and they plan to send another email today.

The teachers have warned that if they do not receive a positive message from the government by tomorrow (Monday), they will escalate their movement to a larger scale. The location and format of this larger movement will depend on the circumstances.

The protestors have also stated that there has been no indication of discussion from the SSC Chairman’s side, and they believe there is a lack of goodwill from the government. The protesting SSC Teachers’ Forum is continuing its efforts to contact the SSC Chairman.

They have clearly stated that if no government representative sits down for discussions with them by Monday, they will resort to a larger movement. However, they currently state that if the infrastructure at Central Park is adequate and provides a healthy environment, they might consider relocating their protest there.
