  • Family registration prepared by the State/Local Authority.
  • Any land/house allotment certificate issued by the government.

Rules for those born before July 1, 1987

If you were born before July 1, 1987, there’s good news for you. You only need to submit one document. This can be any one of the 11 documents listed above.

Additionally, if your name was included in the 2002 West Bengal voter list, a copy of that page is sufficient. In that case, no other document will be required. Keeping this in mind will make your task much easier.

For those born between July 1, 1987, and January 1, 2002

If your birth falls between July 1, 1987, and January 1, 2002, you will need to submit a total of two documents.

  • For yourself: You must submit any one of the 11 documents listed above. If you turned 18 by 2002 and your name is on the voter list for that year, a copy of that list can also be submitted. However, if you were not of voting age in 2002, you must submit one of the 11 specified documents.
  • For your father or mother: You must submit one document for either your father or your mother. This can be one of the 11 specified documents, or if their name is on the 2002 voter list, a copy of that list can also be provided.

If you were born after January 1, 2002

If your birth date is after January 1, 2002, you will need to submit a total of three documents.
