WB Govt Job: Big Opportunity for Directorate LDAs to Join Secretariat, View Notification

WB Govt Job: The Government of West Bengal has announced a significant opportunity for Lower Division Assistants (LDAs) and Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) currently officiating under various Directorates. The Personnel and Administrative Reforms (P&AR) Department has issued a notification inviting applications from eligible employees to be appointed to the post of LDA under the prestigious Secretariat Common Cadre.

Notification Details

According to Notification No. 01-PAR(CCW) A-2/13 dated January 2, 2026, the appointment of Directorate LDAs/LDCs to the Secretariat Common Cadre is being considered in line with the Finance Department’s earlier Notification No. 662-F(P2) dated 24.01.2019.

All departments under the Secretariat Common Cadre have been requested to forward the names of willing and eligible employees from Directorates under their administrative control to the Common Cadre Wing by February 28, 2026.

Who is Eligible?

This initiative is specifically applicable to employees working under different Directorates. However, it is important to note that employees posted in Regional Offices under the Directorates are not eligible for this appointment.

Required Documents

Interested employees must submit the “Format-A” along with a declaration and attested photocopies of the following documents:

  • 3rd page of the Service Book.
  • Admit Card of Madhyamik Examination or Birth Certificate.
  • Appointment Letter, Joining Report, and Confirmation Order.
  • Certificates and Mark-sheets of Educational Qualifications.
  • Caste Certificate, if applicable.

Important Conditions to Note

The notification highlights several critical points that applicants must consider before applying:

  • No Reversion: Once the order for appointment under the Secretariat Common Cadre is published, there will be no scope for reversion back to the Directorate.
  • Final Submission: The declaration of willingness and the filled-in Format-A will be treated as final and unalterable once submitted.
  • Binding Declaration: Employees must declare that they are aware there is no scope for expressing unwillingness after the issuance of the transfer order.

Information Required in Format-A

The application format (Format-A) requires detailed service particulars, including:

  • Date of joining and confirmation.
  • Recruitment method (PSC/Non-PSC).
  • Percentage of attendance and absence for the last three years (01.01.2021 to 31.12.2024).
  • Status of any pending Departmental Proceedings (D.P.) or Vigilance cases.
