Website Address Changes
The addresses of four main websites under the West Bengal School Education Department are being changed. Due to the migration of these websites to a new server, they will be temporarily unavailable from July 1, 2025, to July 7, 2025. The websites whose addresses are changing are:
- Banglar Shiksha
- Utsashree
- OSMS
- Scholarship

During this period, salary-related processing for teachers will not be possible as the OSMS portal will be closed. After the websites are back online, users will need to use the new addresses. ‘wb’ has been added to most of the addresses, and the scholarship portal’s address has undergone a significant change.
Suspension of Transfers on the Utsashree Portal
The suspension of general transfers (General Transfer) through the Utsashree portal, which was scheduled to end on June 30, 2025, has been extended to December 31, 2025. This suspension is applicable for teachers at both primary and secondary levels.
However, the application process for mutual transfers (Mutual Transfer) remains active and is not covered by this suspension. Therefore, teachers who wish to apply for a mutual transfer can complete the process as before.
Important Information for Teachers
- Salary and Other Work: During the website downtime, salary and other online tasks may be affected, so teachers are advised to complete necessary tasks beforehand.
- Mutual Transfer: Those who have applied or wish to apply for a mutual transfer will not face any problems as the process remains active.
