WBBPE Announces New Primary Teacher Recruitment: Job Opportunities for Many More Candidates

WBBPE: The West Bengal Board of Primary Education has published a new notification regarding the recruitment of primary teachers, in compliance with orders from the Calcutta High Court related to various writ petitions. This notification presents a significant opportunity for all those candidates who were not included in previous notifications. The main objective of this new notification is to complete the eligibility verification process for candidates for the post of assistant teacher.
This verification process will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Acharya Prafulla Chandra Bhavan in Salt Lake, Sector 2, Kolkata. Candidates have been asked to be present at the specified location by 11:30 AM.
Required Documents for Verification
For participating in the verification process, candidates must bring the original and one set of photocopies of the following documents:
- Mark sheet and certificate of the Madhyamik (Secondary) examination.
- Proof of date of birth (e.g., Madhyamik admit card or birth certificate).
- TET Pass Certificate issued on or before August 10, 2017.
- Documents proving in-service status as of August 10, 2017, including appointment letter, joining report, certificate from the school authority, NOC from the School Education Department, and salary statements for the last six months up to July 2017.
- Certificate or mark sheet for passing the 18-month D.El.Ed course from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), completed by April 1, 2019.
- A copy of the registration slip for the Primary Teacher Recruitment 2022.
- Authenticated documents if the candidate is a petitioner.
- Proof of residence certificate.
- Original Voter ID or Aadhaar Card.
- Caste certificate (if applicable).
- Bank statements for the last six months or a copy attested by the bank manager.
- CPF/EPF statement from the school.
- ITR (Income Tax Return) proofs (if applicable).
List of Candidates and Challenges
The notification provides a list of 22 candidates who are required to attend the verification process on September 8, 2025. This list includes names such as Shilpi Majhi, Chaitali Mudi, Anupam Chowdhury, and Arun Kundu.
