WBBPE: Primary TET 2022 Interview Notification Published? Board Issues Important Clarification
WBBPE: A fraudulent notification for an Interview/Viva-voce and Aptitude Test, purportedly issued by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE), has been circulating on social media, causing confusion among job aspirants. The Board has promptly issued a clarification, warning that the said notification is entirely fake and fabricated. Concurrently, the WBBPE has also announced a change in its official website address.
Details of the Fake Notification
The counterfeit notification, bearing Memo No. 2235/WBBPE/2025 and dated 20.05.2025, falsely claimed to call candidates for an interview/viva-voce and aptitude test.
Board’s Official Stance and Warning
In response, the West Bengal Board of Primary Education released an official notification (Memo No. 1060/WBBPE/2025/577L-09/24, dated 22.05.2025) to address the situation. The Board has explicitly stated:
- The contents of the aforementioned circulating notice are “fake, false, fabricated in its entireness”.
- The website address mentioned in the said fake notice (https://www.wbbpe.org) is not associated with the Board in the context of this fraudulent publication. (It’s important to note that while this URL was part of the Board’s old web addresses, its use in the fake notice is unauthorized).
- Neither the West Bengal Board of Primary Education nor any of its officials/employees/staff are in any way associated with the publication of the fake notice.
- The Board considers this an “act of impersonation”.
- Any person or entity believing or acting upon the fake notice will do so at their “own risk and peril”.
- The West Bengal Board of Primary Education or its personnel shall not be responsible in any manner for such actions.
Change of Official WBBPE Website
In a separate but related important announcement (Notice No.: 1082/WBBPE/2025, dated 23.05.2025), the Board has informed all concerned that its existing websites (www.wbbpe.org & www.wbbprimaryeducation.org) will be discontinued from 26th May 2025.
The new official website of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education will be https://wbbpe.wb.gov.in.
The Board has also assured that all information available on the existing websites will be transferred to the new website. All concerned persons and stakeholders are requested to take note of this change and act accordingly.

In light of these developments, all job aspirants and concerned individuals are strongly advised not to be misled by any unverified information. For authentic and official updates, always rely on notifications published by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. From 26th May 2025 onwards, the new official website (https://wbbpe.wb.gov.in) will be the primary source for all accurate information. If in doubt, individuals are encouraged to contact the Board’s office directly.
