WBBPE Website Changing: Find the New Address and Important Details

WBBPE Website Changing: The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has announced that its current websites will be shut down and replaced with a new one under the official West Bengal government domain. This change will take effect from May 26, 2025. All students, teachers, and other concerned individuals are requested to note the new website address and use it for all future interactions.

New Website and Why the Change?

According to the Board’s notice, the existing websites (www.wbbpe.org and www.wbbprimaryeducation.org) will no longer be active from May 26, 2025. Instead, all information and services from the Board will be available on the new website: https://wbbpe.wb.gov.in. The notice also states that all information from the old websites will be transferred to this new one.

This move is part of a larger initiative by the West Bengal government. The state is bringing various department and board websites under a common wb.gov.in domain. Previously, websites of important bodies like the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), and the Finance Department were also shifted to the wb.gov.in domain.

The main goals of this change are:

  • To increase the trustworthiness of government websites.
  • To make it easier to identify genuine government websites and avoid fake ones.
  • To provide citizens with more secure and easier access to government information and services.

This will help people easily recognize official government sites and protect them from online fraud.

Key Points to Remember:

  • Old Websites Stop Working: From May 26, 2025
  • New Website Address: https://wbbpe.wb.gov.in
  • Information Transfer: All data from the old sites will be available on the new site.

This is a welcome step by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. It is hoped that this change will make the Board’s operations more transparent and allow people to easily find the information and services they need. All users are encouraged to start using the new website.

The Board issued a notice (No.: 1082/WBBPE/2025) regarding this change on May 23, 2025.
