WBBSE to Issue Appointment Letters to 60 More Candidates on Supreme Court’s Order, Check Important Guidelines

WBBSE Appointment Letter: After a long wait in the West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment scam case, a ray of hope has finally emerged for 60 more job aspirants. Following a crucial order from the Supreme Court and recommendations from the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC), the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has issued a new notification for distributing appointment letters to these 60 candidates. This is undoubtedly a major relief for the candidates.

Previously, the board had issued appointment letters in phases by publishing lists of 166 and 182 candidates. Continuing this process, a new list (Memo No: 329/Sec/Appt.Cell-B/25) was published by the board today, on November 13, 2025. This notification announces the names of 60 candidates who are required to collect their appointment letters in person from the board’s office on a specified date.

When and Where to Go?

According to the notification issued by the WBBSE, candidates whose names are on the list must be physically present on the specified day next week. All important details are provided in the table below:

Who Are These 60 Candidates?

This recruitment process is primarily based on the verdict of a case ongoing in the Supreme Court. The case is Special Leave Petition (Civil) No. 9586 of 2024 (Baishakhi Bhattacharya (Chattopadhyay) vs. State of West Bengal & Ors.). Based on the orders in this case, the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) recommended the names of 60 candidates for ATPG and ATGRAD posts to the board via memos dated 11.11.2025 and 12.11.2025. After verifying these recommendations and the candidates’ documents, the board made the final decision to distribute the appointment letters.
