• Eligibility to Edit: According to the notification, only those candidates who had filed a Writ Petition regarding this matter in the Calcutta High Court by 2:30 PM on December 16, 2025, will be allowed to change or correct their category.
• Mandatory Action: Eligible candidates must log in to the Commission’s official website. They are required to mention their Writ Petition Number in the designated field on their dashboard.
• Verification Process: During future counseling or verification, candidates must provide proof that they had submitted the petition before the deadline (December 16, 2025, 2:30 PM). Failure to provide valid proof may lead to the cancellation of their candidature.

Guidelines for Class 9-10 Candidates

The guidelines for Class 9 and 10 recruitment are slightly different, focusing primarily on the application fee and actual category status.

• Who Can Edit: Candidates who paid the reserved category fee of ₹200 during form filling (where the general fee was ₹500) will get this opportunity. If they genuinely belong to the SC, ST, or PH categories, they can edit their category details.
• Warning: If any candidate fails to correct their category within the stipulated 24 hours, they will no longer be eligible for reservation benefits.
• Unreserved Category: Failure to correct the category will result in the candidate being treated as a General or Unreserved category applicant. In such cases, they will be required to pay the remaining balance of ₹300.
