WBSSC Deprived Teachers Pin Hopes on PM Modi’s Visit to West Bengal

WBSSC: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the state on Thursday. Anticipation is high across various circles for this visit. However, this tour has gained a unique significance as a section of Deprived Teachers, affected by the School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment irregularities in the state, now wish to present their plight directly to the Prime Minister. They have requested just 5 minutes of his time during his public meeting in Alipurduar.

According to Chinmoy Mandal, one of the Deprived Teachers, “We want to meet the Honourable Prime Minister in Alipurduar. Our aim is to convey our grievances directly to him. We seek his intervention.” These Deprived Teachers, long-suffering victims of the SSC recruitment issues and alleged deprivation, claim to have approached various state administrative levels multiple times without any clear resolution. Hence, they have now decided to turn to the highest administrative head of the country.

However, it remains unclear whether this meeting will materialize. There has been no official response from the district administration or BJP public representatives regarding this matter. Nevertheless, this initiative has undoubtedly brought the issue of recruitment irregularities in the state back into the national spotlight.

Key Points:

  • Request for Meeting: Deprived Teachers wish to meet Prime Minister Modi.
  • Venue and Time: A request for a 5-minute meeting during the PM’s public address in Alipurduar on Thursday.
  • Objective: To directly seek the Prime Minister’s intervention regarding their job deprivation.
  • Uncertainty: No confirmation has been received yet regarding the meeting.

Points to Consider:

The future of thousands of talented young individuals in the state is entangled with these SSC recruitment irregularities. If representatives of the Deprived Teachers get an opportunity to speak with the Prime Minister during his visit, it could be a significant step towards resolving the issue. Simultaneously, this situation underscores the urgent need for transparency and alacrity in the state’s recruitment processes. The public expects the administration to be sensitive to this matter and bring an end to the plight of deserving candidates.
