WBSSC Exam Rules: Big Changes in SLST Exam! What’s Banned in the Hall?

WBSSC Exam Rules: The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released new and strict regulations for its 2025 examination. Candidates must adhere to these rules, or their examination may be canceled. Prohibited Items in the Examination Center
To maintain transparency and prevent any irregularities during the exam, the commission has banned certain items from the examination center. The list is as follows:
- Watches: Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall wearing any type of watch. A wall clock will be available in the examination room for timekeeping.
- Mobile Phones & Electronic Gadgets: Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination center. If any candidate is found with such a device, their exam will be immediately canceled.
- Log Tables: Log tables required for calculations are also not allowed in the examination hall.
Permitted Items in the Examination Center
Candidates can only carry a few specific items with them into the examination hall. These are:
- Admit Card & ID Proof: The admit card downloaded from the commission’s website and an original identity proof (such as an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or PAN Card) are mandatory. These can be carried in a transparent folder.
- Transparent Water Bottle: Candidates may bring their own transparent water bottle.
- Transparent Pen: Only transparent pens with blue or black ink can be used for writing answers.
Exam Schedule and Reporting Time
The commission has clearly stated the schedule to ensure there is no rush or trouble on the day of the examination.
- Exam Dates: The examination will be held in two phases – the first on Sunday, September 7th, and the second on September 14th.
- Exam Time: The examination will be conducted from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
- Reporting Time: Candidates are advised to reach the examination center by 11:00 AM. However, to avoid any unforeseen circumstances, it would be wise to arrive by 10:00 AM.
- Gate Closure Time: The gate of the examination center will be closed at 11:45 AM. No candidate will be allowed to enter after this time.
Special Instructions
Candidates must remember that the commission’s regulations will be enforced very strictly. Strict action will be taken against any candidate who violates the rules. Therefore, it is advisable to go to the examination center after thoroughly understanding all the rules and regulations.
