Yubasathi New Website: Yubasathi Scheme 2026 Online Application Process And New Website Details
Yubasathi New Website: The West Bengal government has introduced significant updates to the application process for the ‘Yubasathi’ (also known as Yuvasree) scheme for the year 2026. This initiative, aimed at providing financial assistance to unemployed youth, has undergone changes ranging from its web address to the document verification protocols. For fresh applicants, understanding these new guidelines is crucial to ensure their forms are accepted without errors.
New Website Domain Launched
The most primary update is the change in the application portal. The previous domain is no longer in use for new applications. Candidates must now visit the official updated link: https://yubasathi.wb.gov.in/. While the URL has changed, the user interface and overall navigation of the website remain largely familiar to facilitate ease of use for general citizens.
Mandatory Self-Attestation Rule
A major area of confusion in the past has been document uploads. Previously, many applicants uploaded scans of original documents, which often led to scrutiny. The 2026 guidelines explicitly state that all uploaded documents must be Self-Attested.
- The Correct Procedure: Applicants should first make a photocopy (Xerox) of their original documents. On the photocopy, they must sign and write “Self-Attested”. This signed copy should then be scanned and uploaded to the portal. Uploading original documents without self-attestation may lead to rejection.
Eligibility Criteria Checklist
Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the following conditions:
- Age Limit: The applicant must be between 21 and 40 years of age. The portal uses the date of birth to automatically verify age eligibility; the form will not proceed if the age criteria are not met.
- Other Benefits: Individuals already receiving direct financial assistance from other state schemes (like Lakshmir Bhandar or Krishak Bandhu) are not eligible. However, receiving educational scholarships does not disqualify a candidate.
Required Documents & Specifications
Candidates need to prepare their documents in specific formats before starting the application. Documents should be in PDF format (under 300 KB), while the photo and signature must be in JPG/JPEG format (under 50 KB).
- Madhyamik Admit Card (for age proof).
- Madhyamik Marksheet or Certificate.
- Aadhaar Card and Voter ID (Voter ID is mandatory).
- Bank Passbook (preferably of an Aadhaar-linked account).
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
