Yuvasathi Mobile App: Yuvasathi Scheme Online Application Process via Mobile App Step by Step Guide

Yuvasathi Mobile App: Applying for the West Bengal Government’s Yuvasathi Scheme has become significantly easier. Bypassing the need for cyber cafes or long queues, eligible candidates can now submit their applications directly via the ‘Banglar Yuvasathi’ mobile app. Here is a comprehensive guide on how to download the app, the eligibility criteria, and the step-by-step form filling process.

Key Eligibility & Crucial Conditions

Before starting the application, it is vital to understand the restrictions, especially regarding other government benefits.

  • Financial Assistance Check: Individuals already receiving financial aid from schemes like Lakshmi Bhandar or Krishak Bandhu are not eligible for the Yuvasathi scheme. However, students receiving educational scholarships can still apply.
  • Age & Qualification: The applicant must be between 21 and 40 years of age (calculated as of 01-04-2026, as per source guidelines). It is recommended to list the current occupation as ‘Unemployed’ in the form.

How to Install the Mobile App

The application is not directly available on the Play Store and must be “sideloaded” from the official portal.

  1. Open your mobile browser and visit ds.wb.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to the main Yuvasathi page, click on “Apply Online,” and then select “Download Mobile App.”
  3. Once the approx. 8.27 MB file is downloaded, enable “Install from Unknown Sources” in your phone settings to install the app.

Required Documents & Format Specifications

Keep the following documents ready before applying. All documents must be self-attested (signed by the applicant).

  • In PDF Format (Max 300 KB): Madhyamik Admit Card, Marksheet OR Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, Bank Passbook, and Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  • In JPEG Format (Max 50 KB): Recent passport-sized color photograph and signature.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Open the app, register with your mobile number, and verify using the OTP. Then follow these steps:

  • Personal Details: Enter your Name (in Capital Letters), Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, and parents’ names. Select your category (General/SC/ST/OBC) correctly.
  • Address & Education: Select your District, Block, Police Station, and Pincode from the dropdown menu. Enter your Madhyamik Board details, passing year, and Roll Number.
  • Bank Details: Carefully fill in the Bank Name, Branch, Account Number, and IFSC code referring to your passbook.
  • Document Upload: Upload the documents in the specified format. A green indicator will confirm a successful upload.
