Primary TET Wrong Question Case: Will Everyone Get Marks for 7 Disputed TET Questions?

Primary TET Wrong Question Case: The hearing of the TET wrong question case is scheduled to take place today, July 7, 2025, in the Division Bench of the Calcutta High Court. A new turn in this case is very important for all the candidates who appeared in the Primary TET examination in 2022.

The case is being heard in the division bench of Honorable Justice Soumen Sen and Honorable Justice Prasenjit Biswas.

Case Details

This case is listed under application number MAT 917 of 2024. The case is mainly about the errors in the question paper of the Primary TET examination of 2022. The main issue of this case is the West Bengal Board of Primary Education vs. Moushumi Mitra.

New Turn: Application for a Third Expert Committee

The Primary Education Board has filed a new application in the Calcutta Division Bench. It has been said in the application that the previous expert committee could not agree on the correct answers to some questions, so a third expert committee is needed.

Court’s Order

The previous bench had rejected this application of the board and had said that the board has to accept the opinion of the present experts. But, the case has taken a new turn in the bench of Justice Soumen Sen. Justice Sen has accepted the application and has directed the board to submit the resolution copy of the experts’ opinions on those unresolved questions.

Which Questions are in Dispute?

It is learned that the experts could not come to any conclusion in the case of a total of seven questions. It is expected that the opinion of the experts on these questions will be clear in the court today.

Petitioners’ Demand

The petitioners have already demanded that since the experts could not agree on the answers to these seven questions, all the candidates should be given full marks for these questions. If the experts’ opinions remain unresolved today, the petitioners will raise their demand more strongly.

Probable Outcome

If the opinions of the experts are unresolved or varied, the petitioners may benefit. Today’s court decision will make it clear whether all the candidates who appeared in the 2022 TET examination will get marks for these disputed questions or not.

Court’s Schedule

The court has not given any specific time for the hearing of this case, but it is believed that the hearing may take place after lunch, as this is the only case that is going on in this bench today.

What About Those Who Have Not Filed a Case?

If the court orders to give marks to the petitioners, then those who are not a party to this case are less likely to get marks. Everyone is waiting for today’s final verdict or order.
