SSC CGL Re-exam: Major Announcement on SSC CGL Tier-1, Re-Exam Opportunity Due to Technical Glitches

SSC CGL Re-exam: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has made a significant announcement for candidates who appeared in the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025 Tier-1. Due to widespread technical issues at various examination centers across the country, a decision has been made to conduct a re-examination for the affected candidates. This move comes as a major relief for all those aspirants who could not perform their best due to technical failures.

What Happened During the Exam?

Many candidates faced severe technical problems during this Computer-Based Examination. The most common issue reported was frequent system restarts, which caused a significant loss of valuable time and concentration. These disruptions prevented many talented candidates from completing their exams properly, putting their future in jeopardy. Following the exam, aspirants took to social media and other platforms to voice their grievances, demanding a fair solution from the Commission.

The Commission’s Response: Feedback Portal and Re-examination

Taking the candidates’ complaints seriously, the Staff Selection Commission launched a special Feedback Portal. This allowed candidates to submit detailed accounts of the technical problems they faced by logging in at ssc.gov.in. Within just one week of its launch, the portal received nearly 10,000 submissions. Among these, approximately 2,000 candidates reported critical technical issues that severely impacted their examination experience.

After receiving this overwhelming number of complaints, the Commission decided to thoroughly scrutinize each claim. The respective Regional Offices of the Commission have been tasked with verifying the authenticity of these complaints. After the verification process, only those candidates whose claims are found to be genuine will be given the opportunity to reappear for the exam. The Commission has stated that this re-examination will be conducted on or before September 26, 2025. Through this transparent process, the Commission aims to ensure that no deserving candidate is disadvantaged due to technical faults.

Important Advice for Candidates

Candidates who will be deemed eligible for the re-examination should keep the following points in mind:

  • Regularly Check the Website: Keep an eye on the official SSC website (ssc.gov.in) and your candidate portal for updates on the re-exam date, admit card, and other important information.
  • Track Complaint Status: You can track the status of your submitted complaint by logging into the SSC portal.
  • Continue Your Preparation: Don’t be disheartened; continue with your preparation. This is a second chance for you. Learn from your previous experience and prepare even better.

With this step, the SSC has demonstrated its commitment to the candidates and has sent a strong message about maintaining a fair and transparent examination system.
