IBPS Clerk 2025: Important Dates

IBPS has announced the probable dates for the Clerk exam in its calendar. Candidates must remember these dates so that no important event is missed.

  • Date of Notification Release: 31st July 2025
  • Preliminary Examination Date: 4th, 5th, and 11th October 2025
  • Mains Examination Date: 29th November 2025

Vacancy Details

This year IBPS has announced a total of 10,277 vacancies for the post of Clerk. These vacancies have been divided according to different states and categories. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of 1315 vacancies. Successful candidates will be appointed in any one of the 11 public sector banks in India.

Educational Qualification and Age Limit

Before applying, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria.

  • Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 20 to 28 years (date of birth not earlier than 02.07.1997 and not later than 01.07.2005). There is a relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved category candidates.
  • Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a government-recognized university. The candidate must have a valid mark sheet or degree certificate at the time of application.
  • Computer Knowledge: Knowledge of operating and working on computer systems is mandatory. For this, one must have a certificate/diploma/degree or should have studied Computer or Information Technology as a subject in high school/college.

Application Fee

  • For SC/ST/PWD category: Rs. 175
  • For General and other categories: Rs. 850

Selection Process

The IBPS Clerk recruitment process is completed in two stages:

  1. Preliminary Exam: This is the first stage. Candidates who clear this examination will be eligible for the Mains examination.
  2. Mains Exam: This is the final stage. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks of this examination and successful candidates are appointed in various banks.
