PM Kisan Update: PM Kisan Status Update 2025 Edit Application Form Online and Fix Land Details Errors
PM Kisan Update: Despite applying for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, many farmers are not receiving their installment money. The primary reason behind this issue is errors in the application form, specifically mismatches in land records. Addressing this concern, the portal has reactivated the ‘Edit/Update Self Registered Farmer Details’ option after a long hiatus. However, significantly new rules and procedures have been introduced for the 2025 update cycle. Here is a comprehensive guide on how to correct your details online.
How to Start the Correction Process
To initiate the correction, visit the official PM Kisan portal. Click on the ‘Update Self Registered Farmer Details’ link. You will need to enter your Aadhaar number and the Captcha code, then click ‘Search’. Your details will appear on the screen. Locate the ‘Edit’ button under the ‘Action’ column. Clicking this will trigger an OTP sent to your registered mobile number. Validate the process with the 4 digit OTP to open the main application form.
Selecting the Right Option Based on Land Ownership
Once the form is open, you must carefully select the option that corresponds to when you acquired the land. There are two distinct categories:
- Land Acquired Before 2019: If you purchased or owned the land before February 1, 2019, but haven’t received funds due to errors or pending approval, select this option. The ‘Land Transfer Status’ will typically default to a date before February 1, 2019.
- Land Acquired After 2019 (Inheritance): For those who became land owners after February 1, 2019, the rules are stricter. Newly purchased land generally does not qualify for new PM Kisan benefits. This option is specifically for those who inherited land due to the death of a father, mother, or spouse who was already a beneficiary.
Mandatory Spouse Authentication
Under the new guidelines, providing details of the spouse (Husband/Wife) is mandatory for married applicants. You must enter the spouse’s name and Aadhaar number and perform a ‘Demo Authentication’. The form cannot be submitted without this verification. This step is skipped for single or unmarried applicants. Additionally, you must input your Ration Card number and indicate your willingness to join the Maandhan Yojana.
Updating Land Details and Document Submission
In the Land Details section, select your District, Block, and Village. You must add the Khatian and Dag (Plot) numbers correctly. It is advisable to use simple numbers for the Dag number and avoid using slashes (/) if the system rejects them. Enter the land area in hectares. Finally, upload a scanned copy of your land deed or Parcha in PDF format (maximum 200 KB) and submit the form.
After online submission, you are required to submit hard copies of documents to your local BDO or Agriculture office. Refer to the checklist below:
| Sl. No. | Required Documents (Hard Copy) |
|---|---|
| 1 | Printout of the online application/correction form |
| 2 | Photocopies of Aadhaar Card and Voter ID |
| 3 | Photocopy of the Bank Passbook (Front Page) |
| 4 | Updated Land Record (Parcha/Khatian) |
| 5 | Previous owner’s Aadhaar (in case of inheritance/death cases) |
Caution: If you find that the options available on the portal do not match your actual land data (e.g., discrepancies in dates), do not force an online submission with incorrect data. Instead, visit the Block Agriculture Office directly for assistance.
