SSC SLST exam: Application Deadline for SSC Second SLST Examination will Extended

SSC SLST exam: An application has been submitted to the state government to extend the submission deadline for the School Service Commission’s (SSC) Second SLST examination. This decision was made due to several issues faced during the application process. If the state government approves this request, the new deadline for applications will be July 21st.
Reasons for the Deadline Extension
The application process for this year’s SLST examination was not smooth. Applicants faced multiple technical and other difficulties. The main reasons include:
- Server Issues: Ever since the application process began on June 16th, the server experienced heavy traffic, preventing many applicants from filling out the form.
- OBC Category Complications: Due to some complexities related to the OBC category, the application website had to be shut down for three days for technical modifications.
- Slow Server Performance: The server speed remains slow, causing continued difficulties for applicants trying to complete their forms.
Due to all these problems, the School Service Commission felt that applicants should be given more time. Therefore, they have requested an additional seven days from the state government.
Number of Applicants
As of July 9th, approximately 380,000 candidates have filled out the form, with 275,000 completing the entire process. This number is significantly lower than the nearly 2.2 million applicants for the First SLST exam in 2016. The primary reason for this is that only candidates with a B.Ed degree are eligible to apply for this year’s exam.
What’s Next?
The School Service Commission is awaiting approval from the state government. Once approved, a notification regarding the new date will be published. This is a significant opportunity for all candidates who have not yet been able to apply. It is hoped that they will be able to successfully submit their applications within this extended period. Applicants are advised to keep an eye on the commission’s official website for updates.
