SSC Teacher Recruitment: Today, the School Service Commission (SSC) conducted the teacher recruitment examination across the state. - Attendance Rate: The attendance rate of candidates in this year’s exam was remarkable. 91% of the total registered candidates participated in the exam. Only 9% of the candidates were absent. The presence of such a large number of candidates proves the importance of this exam in the job market.
- Total Number of Candidates: A total of 319,919 candidates had applied for the teacher posts for classes IX and X. Out of them, 91%, which is approximately 290,000 candidates, appeared for the exam.
- Candidates from Other States: Notably, candidates from other states besides West Bengal also participated in this year’s exam. About 31,000 candidates from states like Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand appeared for this exam.
- Exam Conduct: The SSC claimed that the exam was conducted completely peacefully and without any issues. Strict security and monitoring arrangements were made at various examination centers across the state.
- OMR Sheet Collection: The process of collecting OMR sheets began immediately after the exam concluded. The OMR sheets have already reached the commission.
