It recently launched ‘UPI Help,’ a state-of-the-art AI-powered assistant designed to provide instant resolution for transaction-related complaints for Unified Payments Interface (UPI) users. This new feature will make digital payments more transparent and faster, bringing great relief to millions of Indian users.
NPCI has announced new features and regulations to further enhance UPI services in India, making the digital payment experience easier and safer. This new system includes features such as grievance redressal, transaction tracking, and auto-payment management, which will help provide faster resolution to users.
Introducing the new ‘UPI Help’ feature
NPCI has introduced an AI-powered support system called ‘UPI Help’, which will provide users with instant resolution to their payment-related complaints. This system will allow users to perform the following tasks with ease:
- Check the status of their transactions.
- Register complaints for any issues.
- Track the progress of their complaints.
Additionally, this feature will help better manage auto-payments (AutoPay). Users can easily pause, block, or cancel their auto-payments through this system.

This feature will now be available across multiple platforms, including the bank’s website, the DigiSaathi portal, and various UPI apps. This will allow most users to use it at their convenience. Importantly, this system will operate entirely at the bank level, with decisions made jointly by both the customer and the bank.
Fast Transaction and Complaint Resolution
The primary goal of this new system is to quickly resolve issues faced during digital payments. It will provide immediate information about failed or pending transactions and resolve complaints quickly. As a result, users will no longer have to repeatedly visit bank branches or service centres, saving both their time and effort.
NPCI’s new ‘UPI Help’ feature is a major step towards making digital payments in India more secure, transparent, and easy.
