WB Holiday List 2026: West Bengal Government Employees Holiday Calendar Released, Check Full Schedule

WB Holiday List: Good news for state government employees. The Government of West Bengal, Finance (Audit) Department, has officially released the holiday list for the year 2026. According to Notification No. 4188-F(P2) dated November 27, 2025, the complete schedule of public and state holidays has been announced. If you are a government employee or work in the banking sector, this comprehensive list will help you plan your leaves and vacations for the coming year.

Highlights of the 2026 Holiday Calendar

This year’s calendar features a mix of holidays under the Negotiable Instruments (N.I.) Act and State Government notifications. A significant highlight is the extended leave period during the Durga Puja festival in October. However, employees might be slightly disappointed as several major festivals, including Shivaratri and Diwali (Kali Puja), fall on Sundays this year, effectively reducing the number of extra off-days.

Below is the simplified, date-wise list of holidays for 2026 sorted for your convenience.
