According to the board’s latest announcement, the schedule for the second phase of interviews and aptitude tests for Bengali medium candidates has been released. The notification, issued on January 19, 2026, provides detailed guidelines for candidates from specific districts.

Which Districts are Covered?

In this second phase of the recruitment drive, candidates from three specific districts have been called. Candidates who applied for the post of primary teacher from Kolkata, Jhargram, and Jalpaiguri districts must appear for verification and evaluation. The Board has clarified that the process will strictly follow the announced schedule.

Documents Required for Verification

Candidates must carry their documents when appearing before the interview board. It is mandatory to bring the Original copies and one set of Self-attested Photocopies of every document. For ease of verification, documents should be organized as follows:

  • Admit & Eligibility: Interview Call Letter downloaded from the WBBPE portal and TET Pass Document/Eligibility Certificate.
  • Personal Identity: Madhyamik Admit Card/Certificate for age proof and a valid photo ID (Voter Card or Aadhaar Card). Also, carry a self-attested passport-sized photograph.
  • Academic Qualifications: Marksheets and Certificates of Madhyamik (10th), Higher Secondary (12th), and Graduation (if applicable).
  • Professional Training: Marksheets and Certificates of D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed, or D.Ed (Special Education).
  • Category & Others: Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC), Physical Handicap (PH) certificate, or EWS certificate. For Para-teachers, the First Engagement Letter and Experience Certificate issued by DPO/SDO are required. Additionally, Ex-Serviceman or Exempted Category certificates and Extra-Curricular Activity certificates should be produced if applicable.

Strict Warning by the Board

To maintain transparency in the recruitment process, the Board has adopted a strict stance. The notification explicitly states that if any candidate is found submitting false, fake, or inconsistent documents during verification, they will be immediately declared ‘Ineligible’. Consequently, such candidates will be barred from participating in the interview or aptitude test. Candidates are advised to download their call letters from the official recruitment portal and ensure they carry all genuine documents on the scheduled date.
