DA Case Update: The wait for Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees is getting longer. Current Situation
According to the Supreme Court’s verdict, the state government is supposed to clear the DA dues by June 27, 2025. If the state government fails to take any action regarding the payment of DA even after receiving this legal notice, the employee organizations will file a contempt of court case directly in the Supreme Court. In the words of Malay Mukhopadhyay, “We will fight till the end. The government will be forced to pay the DA.” It has been indicated that the Chief Minister may also be implicated in this case.
