Yuvasathi Form Download! Unemployed Youth to Get Monthly Allowance Check Application Process

Yuvasathi Form Download!: The West Bengal government has announced a significant initiative aimed at supporting the state’s educated unemployed youth. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the ‘Yuvasathi’ scheme has been introduced to provide financial stability to job seekers until they secure employment. This project promises a monthly allowance to eligible candidates, subject to specific criteria and exclusions.

Financial Benefits and Duration

The primary objective of this scheme is to offer direct financial assistance to beneficiaries via bank transfer.

  • Monthly Allowance: Selected candidates will receive Rs 1,500 per month.
  • Maximum Tenure: The assistance will be provided for a maximum period of 5 years. This means a beneficiary can receive up to Rs 90,000 in total over the tenure.
  • Condition for Discontinuation: If the candidate secures any government or private job within these 5 years, the financial aid will be stopped immediately.
  • Commencement: As per the source, the disbursement of funds is scheduled to begin from April 1, 2026.

Critical Exclusions: Who Cannot Apply?

Applicants must be aware of strict exclusion criteria to avoid rejection:

  • Other Schemes: Individuals already benefiting from social security schemes like Lakshmir Bhandar or any other are not eligible for the Yuvasathi scheme.
  • Employment Status: Anyone currently employed in a government or private job is ineligible.
  • Note: However, students receiving scholarships or educational stipends can apply for this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Yuvasathi scheme, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed the Madhyamik (10th standard) examination or its equivalent.
  • Age Limit: The applicant must be between 21 and 40 years of age.

Application Process and Dates

The government will set up camps across 294 assembly constituencies in West Bengal to facilitate the application process.

  • Camp Dates: Applications will be accepted from February 15th to February 26th.
  • How to Apply: Candidates must visit their designated assembly camp to collect the physical form. The filled form, along with documents (Voter Card, Aadhaar, Bank Passbook, 10th Pass Certificate, Photo, and Mobile Number), must be submitted at the camp itself. While a demo form might be available on the ‘Department of Youth Services and Sports’ website, submitting the form issued at the camp is recommended.
