Madhyamik Exam Guidelines Issued by WBBSE with Helpline Numbers for Students
Madhyamik Exam: With the break of dawn, over 9.71 lakh students across the state are set to appear for the first major examination of their school lives. As the countdown ends, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has enforced a set of strict guidelines to ensure the smooth conduct and integrity of the examination process. While academic preparation is crucial, adherence to exam hall protocols is equally vital to avoid disqualification.
Strict Prohibitions and Disciplinary Rules
The Board has maintained a zero-tolerance policy towards malpractice to ensure transparency. Students must be aware of the following rigid constraints:
- Ban on Electronic Devices: Entering the examination venue with mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any other electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited. Possession of such items inside the hall can lead to immediate cancellation of the exam.
- Restriction on Guardians: Guardians or parents are not allowed to enter the examination center premises under any circumstances.
- Timings and Exit Rules: The examination concludes at 2:00 PM. It is mandatory for students to remain in the hall until the exam is over; no candidate is permitted to leave the examination hall with the question paper before 2:00 PM.
- Anti-Cheating Measures: Any attempt to cheat or use unfair means will invite severe disciplinary action, potentially resulting in the cancellation of the candidate’s paper.
Essential Documents and Answer Script Details
Beyond the rules of conduct, managing documents is the first step for every examinee. Students must carry their original Admit Card and Registration Card to the exam hall without fail. Inside the hall, candidates must carefully write their Roll Number and Registration Number in the designated spaces on the answer script to ensure their copy is valid.
