PM Kisan Status: The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, a flagship scheme by the Central Government, has brought a wave of optimism for farmers across the country. Expected Timeline for Payment Release

Under the PM Kisan scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually, divided into three installments. These payments follow a specific seasonal cycle:

• April to July
• August to November
• December to March

According to the records, the previous 21st installment was released on November 19, 2025. Consequently, the upcoming 22nd installment falls within the ‘December to March’ cycle. Since mid-January, beneficiaries have started witnessing status updates on the portal. This suggests a high probability that the funds will be credited to bank accounts in February or, at the latest, by March. While an official date has not yet been announced by the government, the movement in status indicators points towards an early release.

Decoding the Status Updates

Your current status on the portal provides a clear indication of where your payment stands. Here is what the different terms mean:

1. Waiting for approval by state: This is the initial stage, meaning your file is currently under scrutiny by the state government for approval.
2. RFT (Request For Transfer) Signed by State: This status indicates that the state government has verified your data and has formally requested the central government to release the funds.
3. FTO (Fund Transfer Order) Processed – YES: This is the final and most important confirmation. If you see ‘YES’ next to FTO, it means the payment order has been generated, and the money is guaranteed to be credited soon.

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

Checking your status goes beyond just looking for the payment date. You must verify the ‘Eligibility Status’ section to ensure continued benefits. The following three parameters must show ‘YES’:

• Land Seeding: Verification of land records.
• e-KYC Status: Completion of electronic Know Your Customer formalities.
• Aadhaar Bank Account Seeding: Linking of the bank account with the Aadhaar number.

If any of these show ‘NO’, the installment will be halted. Additionally, farmers whose land records were registered after 01/02/2019 or instances where multiple family members are claiming benefits may face exclusion from the list.

• Navigate to the ‘Farmers Corner’ section and click on ‘Know Your Status’.
• Enter your Registration Number and the Captcha code displayed on the screen. (If you do not know your registration number, use the ‘Know your registration number’ option via mobile or Aadhaar).
• Click on ‘Get OTP’, enter the code received on your registered mobile, and submit to view your dashboard.
